A late night extra adventure came my way tonight in the form of a walk along a wooded path near a golf course. The most frightening occurrence on the walk took place when a city-owned sprinkler pissed “reclaimed water” (do not drink) on my face and hair.

It reminded me of Wonhyo, the Korean Buddhist monk who named his trousers “no obstacle.” I’ll get into his story a little later. That old Wonhyo cracks me up with his hilarious antics, almost like the buddhist version of Mullah Nassrudin.

Had I not known that the water bore the description, “Reclaimed Water,” as the sign informed me, it may have felt quite nice. But, since some imaginary taboo decided at some point that this experience carries the label, “gross,” I found myself forced to abide by this definition.

Nah, just kidding, I enjoyed it and I didn’t give a shit about where the water came from. I guess that makes me gross, huh. So, I went walking out late tonight with Sheila, on the golf course trail. The moon came out when we said a mantra, as it tends to do, and graced the night with its blue glow. Other blue glows shone from the windows of the houses we passed, telling hypnotic lullabies.

Two challenges came my way tonight, the first: I got asked to do Reiki and healing on someone quite suddenly. I did not feel ready, but I decided to go for it, as have trained as a healer, and have set myself up to get asked to do such things. I got centered and went for it. Great results. The person calmed down, thanked me, laughed a bit and drifted off to sleep.

The second arose in challenging the seeming consensus against playing outside at night in my neighborhood. We walked up to the playground and had a blast. At first, it felt kinda eerie walking along the dark wooded trail, but I realized that I used to long for such lonely and hidden places to camp when I wandered along desolate highways, hitchhiking across this crazy, huge continent.

A Great night. Ask me later about Wonhyo and the skull smoothie!

Get ready for some extreme exposure… I’ll bare all tomorrow. See you here!

Love, Wildness, Joy!
